The Cane Corso has been utilised in Sicily and Southern Italy for hundreds of years, proving itself to be a superb hunting and watch dog. Most recently used for herding livestock and guarding property at which it excels. A breed of protective instinct and intelligence.
The Corso dog is a descendant of the old world mastiffs, he is a highly trainable, intelligent guard dog, the breed is rapidly gaining popularity throughout the British Isles and Europe.

For a breed that dates back to the 1500's, the breed standard was set only recently in 1994 by a small team of Cane Corso enthusiasts. This must have proven difficult as there was much variation in the breed. Even with the standard in place, the Cane Corso of today still vary considerably.
Our aim is to maintain the true characteristics of the Cane Corso.
Please feel free to browse around our site for more information on this wonderful breed,
Thank you.
